Dublin headquartered digital services group Viatel Technology is to get a new strategic investment from Macquarie Capital Principal Finance to drive its planned continued expansion.

Viatel offers a range of business communications, connectivity, voice, cloud and digital transformation services to clients.

Today's deal will also see Nick Patrick from Macquarie Capital Principal Finance join the group's board.

Viatel CEO Paul Rellis said that Macquarie Capital has a strong track record and deep knowledge of the tech industry.

"The team and I look forward to continued success in the execution of our vision with our enlarged shareholder group," he added.
