Dalata Hotel Group, operator of Maldron and Clayton Hotels has received awards for its commitment to employee health and wellbeing both here in Ireland and the UK.

The company has been awarded The KeepWell Mark from IBEC here, and the Workplace Wellbeing Charter Accreditation in the UK.

With a workforce of 5,500, Dalata said it is "laser-focussed" on supporting the health and wellbeing of its staff.

The company has appointed a Group Engagement and Wellbeing Manager and provides an internal platform for staff with resources, support and advice across a number of areas - including family health and finances, in addition to an employee assistance programme.

Dalata also said it offers flexible work patterns, gives staff a free meal each day, and has plans to ensure that each hotel has a mental health first aider in 2024.

"We are delighted to receive this recognition - it is a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of our incredible team," said Dawn Wynne, Chief People Office at Dalata Hotel Group.

"The Dalata family is made up of over 91 different nationalities, with each person bringing a unique set of personal and cultural values which really enrich our business and we want to look after and reward them all.

"As we expand our hotel portfolio and enter new markets, our people will always be our priority and we want them to grow with us and benefit from our success," she added.
