Global pharmacy retail chain Chemist Warehouse has opened its ninth Irish store, located in Westend Shopping Park, Blanchardstown, Dublin.
The company launched its first store here in the same shopping park back in October 2020.
It said it is expanding this original store, along with opening a second store in the area.
"Our expansion within Ireland reflects our commitment to bringing quality healthcare and affordable pharmaceutical products to more Irish customers," said Colin Galligan, CEO of Chemist Warehouse Ireland.
"The new Blanchardstown store, with its increased space and central location, allows us to enhance our product offering, onboard new suppliers and elevate categories such as fragrance and beauty.
"With 40 dedicated staff members and three pharmacists on duty seven days a week, we are well-equipped to meet the healthcare needs of our community," he added.
Chemist Warehouse plans to continue to expand in Ireland, with two more store openings scheduled for January 2024 in Artane, North Dublin, and Cork city centre.
The company aims to open an additional six to eight stores across the country next year.
The group operates over 500 stores in Australia, 50 stores in New Zealand and seven stores in China, and employs over 20,000 staff.
