The National Treasury Management Agency said today it plans to issue €6 billion to €10 billion of bonds over the course of 2024.

As was the case this year, the NTMA said it does not currently expect to issue Treasury Bills in 2024.

It said it will issue a statement at the beginning of each quarter outlining its bond auction plans for that quarter.

The NTMA also said it intends to conduct at least one syndicated bond deal during the year.

"We are entering 2024 from a position of strength and have a large degree of flexibility in meeting Ireland's funding needs," said Dave McEvoy, NTMA director of funding and debt management.

"We expect to have a relatively limited borrowing requirement next year as the fiscal outlook remains robust and the Exchequer continues to maintain healthy cash balances," Mr McEvoy added.
