Grant Thornton has appointed Stephen Tennant as its new chief executive in Ireland.
He will replace Michael McAteer, who first joined the firm in 1999.
Mr Tennant, who is currently head of financial services advisory in Grant Thornton will take over in the role on January 1.

After working for Baker Tilly in the UK for around a decade, Mr Tennant joined Grant Thornton in 2009 and has been a partner since 2012.
He currently specialises in advising companies in financial distress, leading examinerships, receiverships and liquidations across multiple sectors, as well as working in personal insolvency.
Grant Thornton has grown rapidly in Ireland in recent years to now employ 3,000 staff and is expected to generate a turnover of €300m this year.
