JetBlue is to begin daily services between Dublin and New York and Dublin and Boston from March 2024.
The US budget airline will fly non-stop between Dublin Airport and New York's JFK Airport from 13th March next year, with a daily schedule set through to 30th September.
Its non-stop service between Dublin Airport and Boston Logan International will also begin on 13th March 2024, with its daily schedule also running to the end of September.
JetBlue plans to use Airbus A321neo aircraft on the routes, with 16 'Mint’ business class seats, and 144 ‘Core’ economy seats.
"Dublin is an exciting new destination for JetBlue, building on a long history and tradition of friendship and connectivity between the United States and Ireland," said JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes. "We have long recognised the strategic importance of Ireland and its strong value proposition as an attractive country to visit and do business in.
"We realise value and choice is just as important in the Irish market as in the US and are pleased to introduce our award-winning product to Irish customers."
The announcement marks an expansion in JetBlue’s transatlantic services, which currently includes services between New York and London, Paris and Amsterdam; and services between Boston and London and Amsterdam.
Today JetBlue also announced a new service between Edinburgh and New York, which will get underway in May of next year.
It plans to begin a Boston to Paris service in April 2024.
