Enterprise Ireland clients sign deals worth over €15m on US mission

Deals worth €15m have been signed by Enterprise Ireland client companies during a trade mission to the US.

The firms include Oneview Healthcare, Prodieco and MagrowTec.

The agreements were struck during a visit by the businesses to the Midwest, including Illinois, Indianapolis and Michigan.

The deal between connected bedside tech company Oneview and Baxter International, which is the largest bed supplier in the US, will see the two work together to provide connected bedside technology.

While precision engineering business, Prodieco, has inked a multi-million euro deal with Zoetis, the world's biggest animal health company.

Acute care aerosol drug delivery supplier Aerogen has expanded its partnership with Rush Hospital in Illinois.

Socius Ingredients, which is based in Chicago and has an Irish subsidiary Fusion Specialty Ingredients, is partnering with Teagasc and other Irish and international companies to develop added value ingredients.

Irish agtech business MagrowTec has also announced a multi-million-dollar contract with Nicholson Tec of Rochester, Minnesota.

"Demand for Irish innovation in the US is at an all-time high, with Enterprise Ireland clients achieving record exports of €5.5 billion in 2022, up 13% on the previous year," said Leo Clancy, CEO of Enterprise Ireland.

"Today’s announcements are a great reflection of the market opportunity that the US represents, with North America being Enterprise Ireland clients’ third largest export market," Mr Clancy said.

The companies are being accompanied on the trade mission by Minister for Enterprise Simon Coveney.

"This three-day trade mission has provided an unrivalled platform to engage with US companies and accelerate the business growth of Irish companies in the US," he said.

"Ireland is producing world-class innovators, and there is huge appetite in the US to do business with Ireland and for US companies to tap into Ireland's R&D innovation ecosystem and pipeline," he added.
