Two new appointments to the board of Enterprise Ireland

Michael Carey and Teri Moloney have been appointed to the board of Enterprise Ireland.

Mr Carey will take up the position of Chairperson, replacing the current chair Terence O'Rourke.

Ms Moloney replaces Helen Ryan as a board member.

"I am delighted to appoint both Mr Carey and Ms Moloney to the board of Enterprise Ireland," Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney said.

"Both possess the requisite skill set and experience in terms of corporate governance and business leadership to deliver in this critically important role. Their combined experience will be a huge asset to the board," Minister Coveney added.

Michael Carey is co-founder and Executive Chairman of biscuit producer 'East Coast Bakehouse'.

He is also co-founder and Chairman of ‘The Company of Food’, a specialist food investment business.

In the past, he has been chairman of a number of public sector and commercial organisations including; An Bord Bia and the Grow Dublin Tourism Alliance.

Terri Moloney has worked across People & Culture, Strategy, Operations Management, Governance & Leadership and Sales Leadership in multiple sectors including ICT, Construction, Medical Devices, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Health Care.

She has over 25 years of experience with well-known Irish brands including Kerry Group and Laing O'Rourke Construction.
