Ryanair has announced details of its winter schedule from Cork Airport.

It includes 23 destinations, as well as new routes to Barcelona, Fuerteventura, Paris, Seville and Treviso.

Outlining details of the five new routes today, the airline also confirmed that it will operate increased frequencies to another six winter sun destinations such as Lanzarote and Tenerife.

The 23/24 winter schedule will see three aircraft based at Cork Airport, with annual passenger traffic predicted to grow to 2.3 million passengers.

Ryanair's Dara Brady said their continued growth and investment at Cork Airport "is a direct result of the cost certainty provided by Cork Airport's long-term commitment to maintain competitive airport charges".

Meanwhile, Cork Airport today welcomed its 2 millionth passenger so far this year and is on target, it says, to see some 2.7 million passengers by the end of the year.
