Dole Ireland has announced a deal to buy Dublin-based Vernon Catering, which markets and distributes fresh fruits, vegetables and dry goods to foodservice outlets across Dublin.
Dole said that Vernon Catering's operations will be integrated into its dedicated foodservice hub in Balbriggan, Co Dublin with immediate effect.
Under the terms of the deal, Ronan O'Sullivan, Managing Director of Vernon, is assuming the new position of Commercial Director in Dole Foodservice.
Dole said today's deal represents an important moment in the evolution of both businesses.
