Bank of Ireland appoints John Feeney to newly-created role

Bank of Ireland has appointed John Feeney to a newly-created role overseeing its property, project and asset-backed finance activities.

Mr Feeney will have responsibility for the bank's real estate and project finance teams, as well as Bank of Ireland Finance, a provider of car finance to the Irish motor industry.

He joins the group from Mizuho Bank, the banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group, where he was Head of European Banking with responsibility for the Corporate and Financial Institution Banking business.

Previously, Mr Feeney worked in London, Singapore and Tokyo, and held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Henderson Global Investors and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
