The Shed Distillery and Butlers Chocolates have teamed up to create new chocolate truffles and bars products.

The new range has launched in Dublin Airport, the UK and New Zealand and will roll out to further international markets over the coming months.

The new range of chocolates, made by Butlers and flavoured with Drumshambo Gunpowder Gin, now stands at 10, with plans to add more varieties in the future.

The collaboration between the two family-owned businesses came after Butlers approached PJ Rigney of the Shed Distillery with both companies committed to creating world-class Irish brands, sustainable job creation and thriving local communities.

The Shed Distillery in Co Leitrim is home to Drumshambo Gunpowder Irish Gin and its gin is now available in over 80 countries, including Ireland, the UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Butlers Chocolates are available in over 30 countries and 50 major international airports. There are also 28 Butlers Chocolate cafes in Ireland with franchises in South Asia and beyond.

The Shed Distiller founder and owner Pat Rigney said he knew the tie-up between the Shed Distillery and Butlers could lead to something "very special".

"Butlers Chocolates are masters of innovation. Importantly, they will never compromise on their exceptional standards or release a new creation until it is perfect," Mr Rigney said.

"Consumers across the world know they will always be surprised and delighted by the originality of Butlers' new products, confident that supreme quality and extraordinary taste are guaranteed," he added.

Aishling Walsh, Marketing Director of Butlers Chocolates, said the company was thrilled to have collaborated with the team at the Shed Distillery.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed creating these delicious chocolate boxes and bars and launching them both at home and abroad," she added.
