Ryanair is to start a new weekly service from Ireland West Airport to Tenerife from November 2.
The announcement of the new Tenerife service is part of the airline's planned biggest ever winter schedule from Ireland West Airport, which will see the airline increase capacity by 15% across its route network.
For the first time Ryanair will operate winter services to destinations such as Lanzarote, Malaga and Tenerife from the airport in Knock, as well as increasing capacity on a number of their services to the UK such as Liverpool and London Luton.
Joe Gilmore, Managing Director of Ireland West Airport, said that Tenerife has always been a hugely popular destination with the airport's customer base.
"We thank Ryanair for their continued support for the airport and their commitment to the West of Ireland region which is further evidenced by the planned record schedule of flights and destinations available form the airport this winter," he added.
