Musgrave has agreed a new €170m five year deal with Co Dublin-based ready meal producer Ballymaguire Foods.
Under the new contract, Ballymaguire Foods will continue to supply homegrown, Irish-made prepared meals and side dishes to Musgrave retail brands SuperValu, Centra and Daybreak.
Lusk-based Ballymaguire Foods, a sister company to Country Crest, was founded by Michael and Gabriel Hoey and has been supplying the Musgrave Group with high quality food for 13 years.
It has won several awards including Blas na hÉireann, Irish Quality Food Awards, Great Taste Awards, and Fingal Chamber Business Excellence Awards.
Ballymaguire Foods sources ingredients that are 100% local and are carefully selected from trusted farmers and suppliers, keeping food miles low.
It has a workforce of over 250 people, including chefs and producers.
Edward Spelman, managing director and and co-owner of Ballymaguire Foods said that Ballymaguire Foods is well regarded for producing high quality own label, fresh prepared meals for its retail and food service customers.
