Global business and technology consulting company Slalom has opened a new office in Dublin city centre.
Slalom said it plans to hire more than 50 staff over the course of its first year in Dublin.
Located on St Stephen's Green, this will be Slalom's first office in Ireland after the company's expansion to multiple cities in Europe.
Originally launching in Seattle in 2001, Slalom has since grown organically to 45 markets across eight countries worldwide.
Slalom Ireland will serve customers throughout Ireland and Europe, alongside its current global partners such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Salesforce, and Google Cloud.
The new Dublin office is supported by IDA Ireland.
Jane Dawson-Howe, Country Leader - Slalom Ireland, said the company bases its decision-making and strategy on creating meaningful impact for its clients, to allow them to connect more deeply with their customers.
"Our presence in Dublin allows us to reach more businesses who want to achieve better outcomes - an exciting prospect for us all - and will be a home for a team of industry leading consultants who are truly experts in their fields," she added.
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Simon Coveney said the Slalom investment will create 50 jobs initially, with plans to significantly increase this figure over the next few years.
"Slalom are leaders in business and technology consultancy and already work with numerous big name global companies. This news demonstrates Ireland's position as an excellent strategic choice for global business and also highlights our talented workforce as being major factor in attracting FDI," the Minister added.
Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said the arrival of Slalom in Dublin is a welcome addition to Ireland's technology sector.
Ireland is an ideal location in terms of talent from which Slalom can grow and expand their offering in Europe," he added.
