Tourism industry eyes Biden-boost this year

New figures released last week from the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation have shown that there were 1.7 million international visitors to Ireland in the first three months of this year - which is down 16% on pre-pandemic numbers.

But after last week's visit from US President Joe Biden, and with the US being our second biggest source of visitors, we may be able to expect a Biden boost for tourism.

Paul Kelly, the chief executive of Fáilte Ireland, talks to The Business.
