The Minister for Finance Michael McGrath has today appointed Peter Rossiter to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council for a five-year term.
Mr Rossiter is a former Chief Risk Officer with extensive banking experience in OECD and emerging markets, including Ireland, the UK, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East.
Minister McGrath said that Mr Rossiter brings a wealth of experience and expertise in corporate governance and digital finance to the role, having held senior management positions at a number of Irish and overseas financial institutions.
Maeve Dineen, Chair of the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council, said she looked forward to welcoming Peter onto the Council.
"Peter's vast experience ensures our Council expertise continues to reflect an appropriate mix of skills to match the evolving nature of financial services industry," she added.
