Tirlán, formerly known as Glanbia Ireland, has launched its new graduate programme with a wide range of opportunities and career progression prospects.

The new two-year programme is recruiting across a range of disciplines, including agribusiness, commercial, corporate affairs, engineering and operations, HR, IT, marketing, quality and Compliance, R&D and Strategy/Project Management.

The graduates will join the company in September each year, and recruitment is currently underway for up to 40 hires in 2023.

From its base in the south-east of Ireland, Tirlán brings a diverse portfolio of dairy and plant-based ingredients, agri brands and consumer brands, including Avonmore and Kilmeaden range, to the global marketplace.

It has 11 high-tech dairy and grain processing facilities, 52 agri retail branches and over 2,100 employees and has a strong global footprint with a market presence in the UK, France, Germany, UAE, the US, North Africa, Japan and China.

Michael O'Leary, Chief People, D&I and Organisational Development Officer, said Tirlán understands and appreciates the appetite of today's graduates for meaningful career experiences, further learning opportunities, exciting progression prospects and hybrid working.

"Tirlán, as a farmer-owned cooperative, has a huge impact on our communities. What our graduates do will make a difference to people locally and globally. We care about sustainability and working in balance with nature," Mr O'Leary said.

He said that graduates on the programme will receive formal development, ongoing, structured coaching by their manager as well as career and development planning.

"Work-life balance and flexibility is crucial, and our structured programme of social events include team building and away days," he said.

"We also care about their wellbeing and mental health and focus supports in these areas. We have opportunities for eager and enthusiastic graduates to 'unearth your future' by engaging in real work,"Mr O'Leary added.
