AIB's Group Chief Technology Officer is to leave the bank.
Fergal Coburn, who has been with the lender for over two decades, has decided to explore new opportunities outside of AIB, the company confirmed in a statement.
"Fergal has been central to the digital transformation of AIB over the last decade where he led the development of AIB’s digital channels and payments businesses," the statement said.
"We thank him for his contribution to the Group and wish him the best of luck with the next stage of his career."
Mr Coburn joined the bank from Eircom in 2001 as a telecoms operations manager and since then has held a series of senior roles across various technology functions.
He is also a non-executive director of payments company Payzone.
Staff were informed of the development in recent days.
