The Tigers Childcare chain has invested €4m in new properties as part of an expansion into Cork and Kildare.
The company has bought two facilities in Ryebridge and Brayton Park in Kilcock in County Kildare from Happy Steps.
It has also purchased two new sites in Kilcock which will eventually offer 209 additional after-school and full day-care places.
Last week, the company also completed the purchase of Doodlebugs Creche & Montessori in Passage West in Cork.
The development follows the acquisition of ABC Childcare in Douglas in January, its first outlet in the county.
It brings to 19 the total number of centres operated by the firm here and its employee headcount to over 300.
"The four recent acquisitions had a similar ethos to Tigers Childcare with a very strong focus on quality and delivering an exceptional service, led by experienced and passionate teams," said founder and chief executive, Karen Clince.
"We're very much focused on continuing this legacy and building on our long-standing presence in Dublin and Meath."
The company says it will continue to seek out acquisition opportunities elsewhere.
The latest expansion was funded by a €10.5m investment which the chain received from the Irish arm of British investment group BGF two years ago.
