The price of traded wholesale electricity fell by 2% in February compared to January, according to the latest Monthly Market Report from the Single Electricity Market Operator (SEMO).
The average price of wholesale electricity in the day ahead market was down 9% last month compared to February 2022.
If January and February are taken together, the price of wholesale electricity in the year to date is 15% lower than in the same two month period last year.
The volume of traded electricity also fell in February by 11% compared to January. It is down 4% compared to February last year.
