A number of retailers in Ireland say they are experiencing availability issues with certain fruit and vegetables.
They say salad products such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers are in short supply due to bad weather conditions in Italy and Spain.
Tesco Ireland said that "due to bad weather in seasonal supply from Morocco and Spain, the growing and harvesting schedules of some produce have been impacted".
It said that as a result, the market is currently experiencing some "temporary availability issues of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and some salad products."
The retailer said it is working hard with partners to ensure customers have the best possible access to the products they know or alternatives where possible and apologised for any inconvenience.

Lidl said it is also experiencing some availability issues with a small number of fruit and vegetable items and is working to secure sufficient quantities and hopes to full availability in the coming days.
SuperValu also said it is engaging with its suppliers after a shortfall has emerged in the European grocery market with regard to the supply of strawberries, raspberries, peppers and tomatoes.

It said the shortfall has been caused by unfavourable weather conditions in Europe and North Africa in recent months, which have led to lower agricultural production levels.
In a statement, SuperValu said its suppliers have said they are doing everything they can to secure as much product as possible for Irish customers.
