Black Irish Cream, the Irish crafted liqueur backed by international music superstar, Mariah Carey, is to expand internationally for the first time.
The brand had until now only been available in 48 states in the US, but is set to be launched in parts of South America and the Caribbean this spring.
Locations in Mexico, Brazil and the Bahamas will begin selling the drink, with other markets following shortly thereafter.
The brand describes the drink as being "crafted in Ireland with aged Irish whiskey and dairy sourced from Irish farms…"
Black Irish Cream had been locked in a trademark dispute with Irish based Darker Still Spirits Company.
The Dublin based firm launched its Black Irish whiskey-stout blend in June 2020, a year ahead of the cream liqueur backed by Mariah Carey was announced.
Darker Still Spirits Company claimed it legally owned the Black Irish trademark in the EU and UK.
In October of 2021, the Sunday Independent reported that Darker Still Spirits Company had received a notification that a company producing, bottling and shipping the liqueur for the singer would stop.
