A new app is being launched which will help customers access great value mobile data while travelling, saving significant money and avoiding unexpected or hidden charges.

Using eir's GoMoWorld app, travellers can use the virtual eSIM, already embedded on most smartphones, to connect to the best available networks across 160 countries around the world.

This will give them access to roaming, including on 5G networks, at the best possible price.

People using the new app will get global, SIM-free data carried over local mobile networks, without ever having to worry about roaming allowances or exceeding usage.

As data is pre-purchased, users are also protected from "bill-shock" as there are no subscriptions or hidden fees.

GoMoWorld keeps customers fully informed about data usage and notifications before the data allowances are complete, which makes sure that customers have the knowledge they need to stay connected.

Among the many destination countries available, GoMoWorld offers 20GB of data for €19.99 in the EU and Australia, 10GB of data for €19.99 in the US, and 5GB of data for €19.99 in Canada.

Lower cost plans are also available, with 2GB of data for €3.99 in the EU and Australia accessible for those with lower data requirements.

Heloise Abraham, Director of GoMoWorld, said that everyone knows the stress of landing in a new country after a long flight and worrying about finding transfers, accommodation and having no mobile connection.

"GoMoWorld has been created by telecommunications experts and by leveraging the expertise of our European wide partners we were able to build something truly unique, and truly customer centric," she said.

"Based on years of mobile expertise and market research our team in Eir Ireland built GoMoWorld, to meet an unanswered need of global travellers, great value, seamless data connectivity," she added.
