Cork Airport welcomed 2.24 million passengers last year, up 768% on 2021 traffic when Covid restrictions were in place.
That figure represents an 86% increase on pre-pandemic passenger numbers in 2019.
The airport said its recovery was due to strong demand for international travel, coupled with new route additions.
It also said its successful runway reconstruction, which was completed in November 2021, helped to grow traffic.
"After two years of Covid-19, we were delighted with the strength of the recovery at Cork Airport in 2022," said Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director at Cork Airport.
"We welcomed back eight scheduled airlines together with charter airlines and served 2.24 million passengers," he said.
Today's figures show that 96.8% of passengers cleared security screening in Cork Airport in less than 15 minutes throughout 2022.
"Our team works very hard at Cork Airport, to make the passenger journey seamless, friendly, and easy," said Mr MacCarthy.
"The passenger satisfaction scores of 9.2 out of 10 reflect this," he added.
