Republic of Work is set to open a new co-working and innovation hub in Clonmel, Co Tipperary next month.

The company, which opened a hub on South Mall, Cork city five years ago, is expanding its operations with its first office outside of Cork.

Republic of Work first announced the new office on social media at the end of October.

It said the news has been welcomed by local business leaders in Tipperary.

The company said it hopes the co-working and innovation hub will create opportunities for people to work in Clonmel, rather than having to relocate to larger urban areas.

"Our team is really looking forward to working with people in Clonmel," said Frank Brennan, CEO at Republic of Work.

"This new office space will offer a much needed solution to the growing flexible work issues we’re seeing across the country.

"We have gained a wealth of experience in Cork over the last number of years and the aim is to bring this knowledge and benefit to the heart of the business community in Tipperary," he added.

Republic of Work is holding an open day at the office on Dr Croke Place on Thursday, December 15, from 10am to 5pm to talk to the local business community and answer questions on how the new office space works.
