A healthcare innovation cluster that connects and enables greater innovation within the sector has been launched at the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin city.

The 'Health@GEC Cluster' will facilitate collaboration between start-ups, medical practitioners patients, and problem-solvers.

20 healthcare start-ups have already joined, alongside St. James' Hospital.

In preparation for the opening of the new children's hospital at St. James' Hospital campus in Dublin, Children's Health Ireland has also been using the GEC as a base for innovation workshops and upskilling healthcare workers.

The cluster has also attracted interest internationally from non-clinical partners who are eager to participate, as well as major global healthcare players.

The Guinness Enterprise Centre was established in 2000 and empowers start-ups to grow and scale their enterprises.
