Dublin-based aviation leasing company Avolon has announced new management appointments today as its chief executive Dómhnal Slattery leaves the role after a successful transition period.
Ross O'Connor, Avolon's Head of Capital Markets, has been appointed as the company's chief financial officer.
Felipe Campos, the company's chief technical officer, has been appointed as its new chief operations officer and Jim Morrison, its Head of Portfolio Management, has been appointed as its new chief risk officer.
All three will also join Avolon's executive committee with immediate effect.
Following a successful transition period, outgoing CEO Dómhnal Slattery has also stepped down from his role with CEO Designate Andy Cronin assuming the role of CEO on October 1.
Andy Cronin said today's appointments further strengthen Avolon's leadership team and position it as an industry leader.
"The appointment of Ross, Felipe, and Jim, directly from our senior management team, underlines the strength and depth of the people within our business," Mr Cronin said.
"All three have the experience, proven leadership qualities and deep industry expertise to excel in their roles and make a significant, positive contribution on the next stage in Avolon’s journey," he added.
Avolon reporeted a $173m net loss for the first half of the year, which was due to the substantial write-down it had to take after being unable to reclaim its Russian-based aircraft following the country's invasion of Ukraine
