The Doyle Collection hotel group has appointed Gordon Drake as the new CEO of the group, succeeding Pat King.

The Doyle Collection is a family owned and operated international luxury hotel group and its hotels in Ireland include The Westbury Hotel in Dublin city centre, as well as The Croke Park Hotel in Dublin and the River Lee in Cork.

It also owns the The Marylebone, The Kensington and The Bloomsbury in central London, as well as a hotel in Bristol.

In the US, The Doyle Collection owns The Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC.

Over the last four years, the group has completed an investment of €65m across its portfolio adding luxury suites and investing in bars and restaurants and in the extensive refurbishment of bedrooms.

Bernie Gallagher, Chair of The Doyle Collection, said the appointment of Gordon as CEO will strengthen the team and will facilitate its vision to push the boundaries of luxury Irish hospitality and hotel design.

"We are conscious that the hotel industry has had a difficult time and will have a slow recovery but I believe that the strongest returns will be in the leisure sector in the near term and we are well positioned in each of our markets in this regard," she added.
