Carbery Group, a manufacturer of speciality food ingredients and flavourings and a cheese producer, has been announced as overall winner of the Cork Chamber Cork Company of the Year Awards 2022.
The awards, in association with Vodafone Ireland and media partner the Irish Examiner, were presented at the Cork Chamber Annual Dinner in Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night.
Carbery was also named International Company of the Year at the awards.
The CEO of Carbery Group, Jason Hawkins, said the awards were a recognition of the commitment of the firm's teams in Cork and around the world.
"Carbery's origin was inspired by a vision to create a sustainable future for the farming communities of West Cork and has since led to the creation of an international food ingredients company now operating in communities all around the world," Mr Hawkins said.
"The growth of Carbery Group has been underpinned by the vision and support of our farmer shareholders, to whom this award also belongs," he added.
Green Rebel, a company that services the current and future needs of offshore wind farms, was named as the Cork Emerging Company of the Year.
Simply Blue Group was named SME Company of the Year while Altada was crowned Large Company of the Year.
Simply Blue is a developer of floating offshore wind and wave energy and aquaculture.
Altada provides artificial intelligence-based solutions to improve business processes.
"Today's winners are all highly deserving of this recognition and have displayed their ability to persist, adapt, innovate, and respond to ever-changing environments," Paula Cogan, President of Cork Chamber said.
"Each is a player in what we know is an outstanding business culture in our city region and have set themselves apart through their people-focus, their strategy, and their sustainable delivery."
