Quintain gets planning permission for 227 new homes in Adamstown

Residential developers Quintain has secured planning permission for 227 new homes in the next phase of its Aderrig development in Adamstown in Dublin.

The 12-acre site will include 95 three-bed houses, 28 four-bed houses, and 104 two and three bed duplexes.

The site has a gross development value of over €90m and Quintain will appoint a contractor to start construction shortly.

The company said the first sales launch is planned for May.

It said the new development marks further progress in its plans for a "vibrant" community in Adamstown, where Quintain and its affiliates have built 1,000 homes so far, with over 85% occupied by first time buyers.

Quintain has 1,500 homes under construction or due to start this year in Adamstown.

Michael Hynes, Joint Managing Partner of Quintain Ireland, said the company was delighted to receive planning permission on this phase of its Aderrig development delivering much needed new homes to create a vibrant and connected community.

"We now have over 1,500 homes under construction or due to commence in Adamstown this year with a strong focus on the first time buyer market. With excellent amenities and extensive green spaces, we expect strong interest in Aderrig when we launch sales in May," he added.
