To mark International Women's Day, online, e-commerce and digital representative body Digital Business Ireland has published an eBook which features a number of the sector's female leaders.
Titled "Empowering Enterprise, Furthering Females", the eBook includes profiles of women who work at the helm of a number of businesses, including Permanent TSB, Checkout.com, and Orbidal.
"Our eBook profiles some of the sector’s most distinguished and emerging female digital leaders, and offers a platform through which to acknowledge their achievements and champion their career trajectories," said Lorraine Higgins, Secretary General of Digital Business Ireland.
"The breadth of talent in the digital sector in Ireland is simply inspiring, and these women are at the forefront of that momentum," she added.
Ms Higgins said International Women's Day offers a chance to reflect on both the progress made, and the challenges which lie ahead.
"Across all facets of society, we need to see more women being elevated to leadership roles, and we must encourage greater senior participation among women in the digital and technology sectors.
"We have strength in numbers and we have power in our experiences - now, we must activate these assets and push for progress," she added.
