Co Louth software company Intact plans a significant expansion of its business, which will include a doubling of its global workforce over the next three years.

Dundalk-based Intact supplies enterprise resource planning software to merchant, wholesale and distribution businesses.

In addition to its Dundalk offices, it last year opened a satellite office in Co Cork, with a London office being officially opened earlier this week.

Today the company said it would hire 180 more staff over the next three years, around 108 of which would be Ireland-based.

Meanwhile, around 40 of the new hires would be taken on through graduate positions.

Intact said that its revenue had grown by 500% over the past decade, and currently stands at around €17m.

It is forecasting 60% growth in that figure this year.
