Irish startup Spectrum.Life has won a deal to provide digital mental health and wellbeing support to the over 800,000 members of Benenden Health, a UK healthcare provider.

Spectrum.Life, founded in Dublin in 2018, has now surpassed 2 million employees, students and insurance customers covered by its services across Ireland and the UK.

The business, which has offices in Dublin and Manchester, completed a fundraising round to the value of €3m with ACT Venture Capital in 2021.

It currently employs 150 people in Ireland and the UK.

Spectrum.Life has developed a bespoke digital wellbeing platform for Benenden Health which contains thousands of hours of tailored health and wellbeing content created by clinical experts, on key aspects of health, wellbeing, fitness, nutrition and mindfulness.

Stephen Costello, CEO of Spectrum.Life, said that as the company's first healthcare partner in the UK, Benenden Health are leading the way in healthcare provision by championing the importance of mental health to its members.

"Having started out as a team of four people, it's truly incredibly to now be helping over two million individuals better manage their mental health and wellbeing and live happier, healthier lives as a result," Mr Costello said.

"Ten million users has been a long-term goal since our founding and one we now see as very achievable in the coming years," he added.
