Financial services group Waystone has bought professional services firm KB Associates for an undisclosed fee.

Dublin headquartered Waystone provides a range of services to institutional investors, investment funds and asset managers.

While KB Associates offers management company, governance, regulatory and related consulting services to the asset management industry.

It is also headquartered here and also has offices in London, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and Malta.

KBA employs nearly 100 consultants and provides advice to in excess of 250 international asset managers and investment funds who collectively have assets exceeding $400bn.

"KB Associates has been the pre-eminent provider of governance and compliance services in Ireland for almost 20 years," said Derek Delaney, Waystone Global CEO.

"We are very fortunate that KBA has chosen to join our institutional partnership and we are delighted to welcome all the key management and consulting staff of KBA"

Mike Kirby, KBA Founder and Managing Principal will become Executive Chairman – Europe and a board member of the Waystone Group, as well as remaining a significant investor in the combined businesses.

"An ability to address complex regulatory and governance issues across multiple jurisdictions is increasingly important to our international client base," he said.

"Becoming a member of the Waystone Group, which has offices in fourteen locations across Europe, North America and Asia, allows us to deliver a single global solution."

Meanwhile, Dublin based asset management digital platform, Carne Group, is to buy The Asset Management Exchange business from global advisory, broking and solutions company, Willis Towers Watson.

Willis Towers Watson will, in exchange, take a minority stake in Carne. Financial details of the deal have also not been disclosed.

The transaction will lead to Carne employing more than 500 staff who work with more than 600 leading asset managers and institutional investors across 11 offices around the globe.
