Aldi has said it is to create 600 new jobs in stores across the country this year.
The roles will include positions such as store assistants, assistant store managers and store managers.
It follows the supermarket chain's announcement last November that it intends to invest €320m in its Irish network over the next three years.
The investment will see 30 new stores open across the country.
The news came as Tánaiste Leo Varadkar opens the company’s new corporate offices in Naas in Co Kildare this morning.
The 41,000 square foot facility at Millennium Park in the town will house Aldi’s buying and marketing teams.
Mr Varadkar said the news was a real testament to Aldi's commitment to Ireland and the hard work of its existing team here.
"This is a hugely exciting move for our national buying and marketing teams and reflects our ongoing commitment to partnering with more great Irish food and drink producers," said Niall O'Connor, the Group Managing Director of Aldi Ireland.
"The new facility features our 'Taste Kitchen', a state-of-the-art development kitchen where our buying team will be able to create and test new Irish products, helping us maintain our leading position as a retailer of Irish products," Mr O'Connor said.
Aldi already employs over 4,650 staff in Ireland and has 149 stores here.
Around this time last year it announced it was recruiting 1,050 new staff as part of its expansion plans.
The company also said it will increase its hourly pay rate for those working in stores from February 1, bringing its entry rate of pay to the recommended Living Wage level, something that was also welcomed by the Tánaiste.
"A big priority for me is making sure sick pay is available to all employees and it's great to see that Aldi has a scheme in place," he said.
Aldi store assistants will earn up to €14.90 an hour, while its entry rate of pay will be €12.90 an hour, matching the Living Wage rate.
According to Kantar, at the end of December Aldi had 11.6% of the grocery market here, down 1.9% year on year.
