The Central Bank has issued warnings about eight unauthorised firms that are offering financial services in Ireland.

It is a criminal offence for a firm to provide financial services in Ireland without authorisation, while consumers dealing with such a firm are not eligable for compensation in the event of any loss or fraud.

The firms included in the Central Bank's latest warning include investment firms Latest Bond Rates / Better Bond Rates, KontoFX and Invest Ireland.

It is also warning about two investment firms named Brookfield Investment Fund, BWB Ireland Investment Management and AC Capital Partners, which are all clones of authorised companies.

Meanwhile OnlineCashFinances is operating as a moneylender without authorisation.

The Central bank regularly publishes warnings about unauthorised firms and maintains a list of companies on its website.
