Child chain Tigers Childcare has received a €10.5m equity investment from growth capital investor BGF.
Tigers is the third largest childcare provider in the state.
The investment marks the tenth by BGF since it began operations here four years ago.
In total the company has invested over €60m into Irish businesses across a range of sectors.
"As our 10th investment – and one of our largest to date – this is a landmark deal for BGF," said Leo Casey, head of BGF in Ireland.
"Tigers is a great business led by a charismatic and inspiring founder and with a clear growth plan.
"It's another example of the extraordinary talent, energy and drive that you see across the Irish business community and we look forward to continuing to support these businesses as they grow and prosper in the years ahead."
Set up in 2003 by Karen Clince, Tigers has 13 facilities in Dublin and one in London.
It currently employs over 200 staff and cares for over 2,000 children.
In September it bought the Little Fairies Creche and Montessori in Tallaght and is actively looking for other growth opportunities.
"We are delighted with this investment from BGF which will see us continue to grow and push boundaries in the childcare space in Ireland and the UK," said Karen Clince, Founder and CEO of Tigers Childcare.
