Maura Quinn, the chief executive of the Institute of Directors in Ireland, is to step down from her role in June of next year.
Ms Quinn, a Chartered Director, has been CEO of the IoD for almost 14 years and before that she was CEO of UNICEF Ireland.
"It has been, and remains, an honour to lead the IoD. I would like to thank the President and Council for their steadfast support of so many IoD developments over the years, and I thank my colleagues for being on this journey with me, and the members of IoD who are so supportive of our work on their behalf," Maura Quinn said.
"I will continue to dedicate myself to the organisation until June 2022 to ensure an orderly transition," she added.
IoD President Imelda Reynolds thanked Maura for her very significant contribution to the IoD over many years, adding that her commitment and dedication to its members, colleagues and partners has been exemplary.
"During Maura's tenure, the IoD has developed into the market leader in director education in Ireland with the IoD Chartered Director programme and our membership numbers and member services have grown substantially and prospered significantly. We are well placed for the future," she said.
Ms Reynolds said the Institute of Directors Ireland would immediately begin the recruitment process for a new chief executive.
