Aviation maintenance company Dublin Aerospace has appointed William Flaherty to the position of chief executive with immediate effect.

With the company since its inception, Mr Flaherty succeeds Conor McCarthy, who resumes his position of Executive Chairman.

Mr Flaherty joined Dublin Aerospace in 2009 as an Aircraft Mechanic and has progressed through every level since to check manager, quality assurance manager, head of base maintenance to General Manager - Dublin.

Earlier this month, Dublin Aerospace officially opened the doors to its new landing gear facility in Co Meath, which specialises in Airbus A320 and Boeing B737 landing gear overhaul.

The facility has the capacity for up to 350 overhauls a year.

Dublin Aerospace is currently hiring for a number of positions, including electricians, technicians/mechanics, painters, fitter/turners, document controllers and production planners.
