The National Treasury Management Agency said it has today completed an auction of Irish Treasury Bills.

The NTMA said it sold the target amount of €750m.

Total bids received amounted to €1.84 billion which was nearly two and a half times the amount on offer.

The Treasury Bills, which have a maturity of six months, were sold at a yield of -0.641%.

Earlier this month, the NTMA completed a triple auction of €1.5 billion of benchmark Irish Government bonds at the upper end of its €1-1.5 billion range.

The NTMA has now issued €17.5 billion of bonds in 2021.

It has a full year target of €18-20 billion.
