Irish-owned retail pharmacy group McCauley is spending €2m to buy two new stores in Co Wexford - Wades Pharmacy in Gorey and Garahy's Pharmacy in Enniscorthy.
The new acquisitons bring the number of McCauley owned pharmacies in Co Wexford to nine and 37 nationally.
The McCauley Group recorded revenues of €83.1m in 2020.
Tony McEntee, CEO of McCauley, said the company has been supporting community healthcare in Wexford since the business was first established in Enniscorthy in 1953.
"Our recent acquisitions and in particular, the opening in Gorey, is yet another proof point of our continued commitment as a leading employer and community pharmacy provider cross the county," Mr McEntee said.
"We see these acquisitions as key investment for McCauley, not only in Wexford, but for each and every customer or patient who walks through our doors, for whom we strive to provide the best possible customer experience," he added.
