The National Treasury Management Agency said today that it has completed an auction of Irish Treasury Bills, selling the target amount of €750m.

The NTMA said that total bids received for the bills amounted to €1.83 billion, which was 2.4 times the amount on offer.

The Treasury Bills, which have a maturity of five months, were sold at a yield of -0.64%.

Earlier this month, the NTMA sold €1.25 billion of 10 and 20 year bonds in a dual auction.

The auction was at the top end of the NTMA's €1 billion to €1.25 billion range. The NTMA has raised €16 billion of its €18-20 billion target for the year.
