Eir Business and IT services firm Evros have today launched the "Office Pass" app, which is designed to support the safe return of employees to the workplace.

Evros said it has spent the past year working closely with global enterprises in order to refine the technology and ensure it meets the needs of Irish businesses today.

The new technology is the next step in helping businesses return to normal in a post-Covid-19 world, it added.

Using the app, employees have the power to choose how they work while ensuring safety policies and social distancing guidelines are being met.

Users can book their desks in advance from any device, giving them a safe place to work, while employers get a complete overview of who is in on what day so they can manage their capacities.

The "Office Pass" app also supports an effective hybrid working model, by allowing employees to view which colleagues are working from home or in the office, enabling greater collaboration between team members.

It can also enhance an organisation's sustainability efforts by updating employees on their carbon footprint as they travel to and from the office.

Martin Wells, Managing Director of eir Business and Evros, said as the country comes ever-closer to a return to normality, future working-models will see a mixture of remote working, hybrid working and in-office working.

"The "Office Pass" app looks after the safety and wellbeing of employees by ensuring businesses fall in line with Government Covid-19 regulations," Mr Wells said.

"We specifically designed this technology so that it was easy to implement and even easier to navigate, and we believe this will offer a great solution to businesses who wish to manage their on-site attendance over the weeks and months to come," he added.
