Dalata Hotel Group is growing its presence in the United Kingdom, officially opening its first hotel in Scotland, creating 80 jobs locally.
The four-star Maldron hotel is located on Renfrew St, in the heart of the city's shopping, restaurant & theatre district. The £40 million property features spacious bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, resident’s gym, and state-of-the-art business facilities. The hotel is also highly tech-enabled with chrome cast in each bedroom, digital check-in and a virtual guest services platform.
Dalata said Maldron Hotel Glasgow City represents a significant investment and vote of confidence in Scotland, providing a substantial economic boost to the city as it recovers from the impact of Covid-19.
Dalata already operates over 45 hotels across the UK and Ireland. In 2022 the group will strengthen its presence in Glasgow with the opening of a 4-star Clayton Hotel on Customs Quay.
