Irish food ordering software developer Flipdish has announced a new partnership with the Bewley's Café on Grafton Street in Dublin.

Consumers can now use Flipdish technology to order their favourite hot drinks and treats directly from Bewley's website.

Flipdish said the service will operate in line with the café's opening times on a Click and Collect basis only during current Government Covid-19 restrictions.

Once indoor dining resumes, Bewley's will use QR codes, which offer digital menus on all smartphones and tablets, for table ordering. This will create a more smooth running order process for consumers and staff.

Bewley's Café has been a mainstay on one of Ireland’s busiest streets since 1927 when Ernest Bewley opened the premises complete with the world renowned Harry Clarke stained glass windows and the café has been described as a Dublin landmark.

James McCarthy, co-founder of Flipdish, said the company is delighted to be working with Bewley’s.

"As Ireland begins to reopen after its third lock down, Flipdish's priority is to provide the necessary digital tools to the hospitality industry in an effort to get them back on their feet and thriving once again," Mr McCarthy said.

"The technology that we have equipped Bewley’s with allows them to take control of their brand in a new and innovative way and to fully harness the power of bringing their business online," he added.
