Public relations firm Teneo has appointed Ursula Burns, a former client and present adviser, as its new chairwoman.
It follows the resignation of its founder and former CEO and chairman Declan Kelly after after allegations of drunken misconduct at a fundraising concert.
The firm appointed co-founder and chief operating officer Paul Keary as chief executive officer on June 29, the same day it announced Kelly was leaving.
Ms Burns, one of the few women and African-Americans who has been an S&P 500 boss, is a former boss of Xerox.
She most recently served as CEO and Chairwoman of VEON Ltd, a global telecom company.
She also holds board memberships at giant firms including, ExxonMobil, American Express and Uber.
The 1,250-person public relations firm has 33 offices around the world and describes itself as "the world's leading CEO advisory firm".
