Camile Thai is set to expand to the United States, with the Asian food business launching a take away and delivery service in Chicago.

As part of the expansion, the company is teaming up with Kitchen United, which operates off-premise-only kitchens.

The two companies said they plan to launch further locations in Chicago, Pasadena and Austin.

Since opening its first restaurant in 2010, Camile Thai has expanded to 40 locations in Ireland the United Kingdom.

Brody Sweeney, Camile Thai CEO, said they are excited to bring their concept to the US.

"The pandemic has altered how restaurants operate and given the go-ahead for virtual kitchens, without a storefront, to flourish," he said.

Atul Sood, Chief Business Officer of Kitchen United said the company is constantly evaluating new ways to support their restaurant partners.

"Working with Camile Thai to present licensing opportunities to operators within our kitchen centers looking to establish a delivery-only business, or build a new segment of their existing portfolio is a perfect illustration of that," he said.
