Andrew Bradley had been appointed Chair of the board of the Design and Crafts Council Ireland.
The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar said Mr Bradley will continue the strategic development of Ireland's design and craft sector.
Mr Bradley is an entrepreneur in the Irish creative sector, having built his own brand and design strategy consultancy.
He qualified as an Industrial Designer and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Environment Design from the University of Calgary, Canada.
Throughout his career, Mr Bradley has been a member of the Institute of Designers in Ireland and was President from 2013 to 2015.
In 2017 he was appointed to the board of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland where he was appointed interim chair in October 2020.
He was the founding Chairman of Design Skillnet, a Government of Ireland initiative for enterprise-led training, and in 2020 he was also appointed to the board of Irish Sailing, the national governing body for the sport.
