Residential developers Quintain has received planning permission to build 235 new homes at Aderrig in Adamstown in West Dublin.

The 17 acre site will include 159 houses and 76 apartments and the site has a gross development value of over €80m.

Construction is set to start in April with the first homes coming to market in October 2021.

Aderrig is located beside Quintain's Tandy's Lane Village and Somerton phase 2 developments.

The three schemes will deliver over 700 new homes which will helping to address the shortage of properties in the area.

The second phase of Quintain's Somerton development, where 237 homes are being built, is due to go on sale shortly through agents Savills.

Meanwhile, construction of 245 new homes at Tandy's Lane is due to start once the Covid-19 public health restraints on construction activity are lifted. They received planning permission in July 2020.

Michael Hynes, Joint Managing Partner of Quintain Ireland, said that with Aderrig now planning approved, construction at Tandy's Lane due to commence shortly, and Somerton phase 2 under construction, Quintain has a pipeline of over 700 much needed new homes for the Adamstown area in progress.
